Lovefordgalaxie Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I was not 100% happy about my last build, the Custom Kustom '57 Ford. It was like it was too plain looking for a Kustom. What I did was to build some fender skirts from sheet styrene, and dual antennas from hypodermic needles. I think the car looks better now, mor "into the mood" so to speak. What do you guys think?? Before: 1957 Ford Custom Kustom par Túlio Lazzaroni Lovefordgalaxie, on ipernity After: '57 with skirt par Túlio Lazzaroni Lovefordgalaxie, on ipernity '57 with skirt par Túlio Lazzaroni Lovefordgalaxie, on ipernity Now I think I'm gonna stop messing with this Ford before I break it and start a new build.
Belugawrx Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Nice additions I like taking my builds and updating them every once in awhile too looks cool
Porscheman Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 As a mild custom definitely the 2nd one, but I love the original.
Harry P. Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I think they're both great, but I do like your additions.
rmvw guy Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 It's got the 50s vibe now, typical of what I remember.
Bob Ellis Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I like the skirts and long antennae. That is more of a '50s custom look. But, it is whatever you like.
the goon Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Personally I like it without, but both versions are very nice. Love '57 Fords. Mark
Erik Smith Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I like the skirts. I am 87% through a '57 custom too and keeping it mild - like a lot of the early 60s cars were. I think it's a cool "back yard" custom look.
Ramfins59 Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Tulio, I like it with the skirts, antenna's and spotlights... a set of front spinner hubcaps would fit the look too, but it's fine the way it is.
slusher Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I like them both but looks cooler with the additions...
Joker Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Welcome to the Darkside Tulio . . . we have cookies, Scallops , Lancer hubcaps , Lake pipes , Connie Kits , tuck and roll , dual french antennas , lowering blocks...heh heh heh .
Guest Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Both are nice, but I have never cared much for fender skirts.
PappyD340 Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I like them both as well Tulio, but the additions do make it pop!!
Helix Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Both versions look good, just need to drop it in the weeds....

OldTimer50707 Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 The first one is almost exactly like the one I had in high school which got me into a whole lot of trouble. I like both of them.
crazyrichard Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 with skirts and antenna's .. looks awsome to me , would be cool to do like a see through sunvisor with a chrome surrounding as well
John Goschke Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I definitely prefer the first version. Though the skirts are well-done I've never seen a set that had that chrome trim along the bottom like that. However, a popular accessory for Foxcraft skirts was a polished stainless "stone shield" at the bottom front corner. The antennas are way out of scale.
Brett Barrow Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Give me #1 with chrome steelies and a slight forward rake, but then it's more rod than custom.
dino246gt Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Looks much more custom now, the antennae are very cool looking!
