Jantrix Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 Here's what I came up with. A hood scoop from some AMT kit, that follows the hood lines perfectly. Then I created an insert that will be BMF'd. Thanks to everyone who helped out.
TooOld Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Agreed , that's a great looking hood ! I have one of those scoops too . . . thought it was from the '65 Galaxie kit but a quick check and it's not . Maybe someone else can identify it !
tubbs Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 nice. going to look great! I think that came from a cougar kit, not sure of the year, but that is my guess.

The scoop was leftover. Good eye Al. Unfortunately guys the build is for an online contest between clubs so no pics to share of the build until after April 2. Thanks very much for the help everyone. Jantrix Posted April 1, 2014 Author Posted April 1, 2014 (edited) Here is the final solution in paint and BMF. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. More pics will be in the Under Glass section, Wednesday 4/2. It's definitely something you haven't seen before. Edited April 1, 2014 by Jantrix
