i got this in the mail the other day, no motor, chassic's been started. but the price was right. i've shortened the back 3mm and i'll take 6mm out of the front

hi guy's, i took 6mm out of the front, now it's the bonnets turn.

hi guy's, i've cut and shut the bonnet so while thats waiting for a file and sand i'll take to the roof. nothing to radical, i took 3mm out of the front pillars, pushed the roof forword, bent the pillers in a bit,then filed the back to suit. now i'll cut down the side of the back window and lean it forword and fill the gap.

thanks Ira, my promlem's i normally start well, it's the finishing i'm not to good at. but i'm having a bit of fun with it so i'll carry on. i moved the back of the bonnet bulge back 6mm and got rid of the vents, filled a bit of the hole, not sure what i'm doing for a engine so i'll leave it like that for now and got the first file of the roof

hi Guy's, the front gaurds did'nt suit the look i'm going for [still not sure what that is] so they had to go, i'll find something to fill them in a bit.

got the guards filled in, i used the back seat, the curves are good and it's thick.

Great stuff Jeff. But please excuse me if this is a silly question. I may have missed the idea behind the work, but is the body just out of proportion? Too long maybe?

But, I do like what you're doing, looks like an interesting conversion.

thanks Guy's, Stump it's not a silly question, i think it's a bit long and skinny. i've seen a few on here and they look really good, but my idea was to make little mods to make it a bit different. so let me know what you think of my next idea. i'm thinking i'll cut from the back to the front guard and add 3-4mm to the back to give the back more depth, a little bit more like a cuda?

Yeah, not having seen a 1:1 to compare, but I always thought these kits looked a tad on the long side?

I have an old (original issue street machine version) and the latest Petty car to do one day....I'll follow along here for the ride.

well'' back at it, i've cut from the back to to the front and added 3.5mm to the back. now the neat bit of filling it all in.

got the first side filled, i'm trying to do it all with plastic, mainly sprue, then i use filed plastic and liqiud grue as bog.

hi Guys, and thanks for the comments, things have slowed down a lot, real life getting in the way, Bruce, that is sort of what i'm after you have to really look to see the mods, and that things got plenty. i've got the other side cut and filled now i've got to get the front end and some wheels to finish the gaurds. i got a petty nascar for the engine, so i'll try to get something sorted there

hi guys, i've got this one back out and with a bit of luck i'll get something done. i've brought a petty charger and a dukes of hazzard aswell, so i'll be doing 2. the original will be full custom and the dukes will be fast street leaving the petty for spares, i'll get so photos up later. cheers Jeff

hi Guys, got a little done on #2 started filling the front gaurds and i cut up the petty bonnet to fit, hopefully it will give me some room for a crossram.

i've smooth the firewall and started the tubbs. with a bit of luck i'll get some undercoat on it in a day or two. now the engine.

and a bit more, i've changed the bonnet on #1, bit of petty and a bit of dukes, i might open up the vents if i go with the turbo. and i've got enough bits to make a crossram for #2.

hi Guys, i've opened up the vents in the bonnet, now i think i'll round off the rear end. i put a bit of undercoat on just to have a look at where i'm going.
