Scott Colmer Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 I just got back from the GNRS at the Pomona fairgrounds. My Pop came down from Nor Cal. Got to chat with Rusty, and John at the Model show. LOVED the Bonneville exhibit. Lots of great cars. What was really great this year was the owners were hanging around. It seems like every time I stopped by a car I liked the owner would came and talked to us about the car. Everyone was very friendly. It really made for a great show. One of my favorites was the guy who did an endo at 230mph in his LSR coupe. Just crazy. For those who are going on Sunday, I hope you get the same experience. Oh - Beers were 14.00 each. Can't have everything. Scott
Danno Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Hope Rusty had a good turnout and a great show!
Scott Colmer Posted January 26, 2014 Author Posted January 26, 2014 (edited) I agree Randy. My fotki account took me down to two sharing options. They have not returned my message. Grrr. I'll use the site posting options. Sorry about the blurriness. I was disappointed when I opened these. I really have to learn to take my time with hand held pics. The last one is Bob Romero's amazing VW funny car replica. I am huge fan of Bob's work. He is one of those builders that spends his time on a project and turns out incredible work. FASTBACK340 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 I read about the accident on Hot Rod's FB page. Something about a stuck throttle and a judge getting injured. Pictures look great…. I have to add that show to my bucket-list.
Scott Colmer Posted January 26, 2014 Author Posted January 26, 2014 Oh, dang. I missed that. From what I read, the Judge that got hit got a couple broken ribs and some staples in his head, but he will be OK. Looks like the car did not fare well either. http://blogs.hotrod.com/tragedy-104161.html#axzz2rXGXOmY2
randx0 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Ok you were there . I like the pics , some day I'll have to make it to that show.
bobthehobbyguy Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 (edited) Looked at the link and have to say ouch. Also I love the fact that the AMBR was a phaeton not a roadster. Guess not enough roadsters were entered or money talks. Edited March 5, 2014 by bobthehobbyguy
