tyrone Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 That is the bizzness right there Dirk... what rear tires are you using... I have got to get some of those wheels soon... I really wish I cold get my hands on one of those bodies too... good stuff buddy...
DirtModeler Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Oooh! i like it! that thing looks mean!
ClayK Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 You already know what I think of them Dirk.....so glad to see you working on TWO pro mods!! That Corvette is just awesome. The Camaro is cool too, but that last shot of the Vette is money.
ScrappyJ Posted February 12, 2014 Author Posted February 12, 2014 Thanks for looking and the kind words gents! Clay- I just hope I don't get burned out. Tyrone- The tires are huge pegassus tires. They're a little big because they are their funny car tires, but I like them for the PMs too. If you're interested, I can see if I can figure out what the item number is on the pegassus website. Thanks again, Rick and Mike! Jim- What can I say, those wheels are just bad and I'm sure will definitely be the centerpiece of the cars!
tyrone Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Thanks Dirk... I thought that may have been what you were using... I like the big shoes on the back too...lol... that's what I'm using on my stang too... I keep looking at those wheels and I'm gonna have to break down and get some... I'm loving these builds you got going... I hope you dont burn yourself out on these... I'm enjoying the updates....
1320wayne Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Wing change looks good. Tyrone send me a pm about the body if you want. I can make as many as you like. Can't wait to see more Dirk.
Red rocket 10 Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Beautiful work , much continued success ! Leonard
futurattraction Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Those are both looking excellent Dirk. I really like the mods you've made to update the bodies, and your rolling stock and wheels are impressive... Looking forward to more updates!
ScrappyJ Posted February 24, 2014 Author Posted February 24, 2014 (edited) Thanks, guys!!! I finally got around to getting the stems on the chassis for hanging/hinging the doors. I just LOVE hinging doors (note sarcasm): More to come... Edited February 24, 2014 by ScrappyJ

am73grand Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 These are both amazing!!! I thought it was a challenge building a cage out of styrene......I couldn't imagine soldering one together. Beautiful work man!!!
DrKerry Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Ok, I've heard of getting the doors blown off but REALLY?????? These two are coming along great, love the look of the new wing and love the look on that Vette!!!!!!!
ScrappyJ Posted February 26, 2014 Author Posted February 26, 2014 Thanks for the kind words, Gents! It is truly humbling and appreciated!
ScrappyJ Posted February 26, 2014 Author Posted February 26, 2014 (edited) This is what happens when you use an open-flame for soldering and leave plastic parts on the chassis you're soldering: Rather than bashing a kit just for the seat, I thought I would try repairing the melted/deformed portion of the seat. The first order of business was to cut out the melted portion: After a little plastic, CA and TNX7R: Edited February 26, 2014 by ScrappyJ
DrKerry Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 I hate it when that happens!!!!! Good save though!!!
Mooneyzs Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Dirk... Nice progress on these pro mods. Loving what you are doing and the direction you are going with them.
