my80malibu Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I haven't seen one exactly like that one in any kit before. You could scratch build it though.
TooOld Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Scale Modeling By Chris has a resin engine kit that might have one . I scratch built one for my kit .

vamach1 Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Next time I give some parts to my caster I can pull the one off this engine.
Monty Posted January 31, 2014 Author Posted January 31, 2014 Next time I give some parts to my caster I can pull the one off this engine. That'd be great. PM me when that happens. Probably wouldn't hurt to cast a few more, since I'm probably not the only one looking to add this part to the 351C engine.
TooOld Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Next time I give some parts to my caster I can pull the one off this engine. I agree that would be great but how about a hint where the engine is from ? It looks to have a few decent pieces .
vamach1 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 The engine is from the Danbury Mint Boss 351. The model was in mint condition before I took it apart. It was sacrificed so I could get a lot of parts off it. I did not pay anywhere near retail price for the Boss so I don't lose any sleep over me trashing a very nice diecast model.
TooOld Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Thank you Rex , now I understand why I've never seen that engine before ! Any chance you will have other engine parts available ?
vamach1 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 If I can take it apart w/o destroying it I will do that. It was super glued together so I'm getting used to using the Debonder.
