A person takes more pride in knowing that they scratchbuilt a lot of the stuff. I know aftermarket stuff makes the process easier and such...

Thanks you guys,,as Ive said before,,you guys have great stuff on here also,,just wanted to mention. Anyways,,its almost done,,I was going to posta few more pics,,but its so close to being done,,Ill wait. All the decals+ ect are on,,I did have a prob w/the rear stripe decal,,even though I clear coated decals on the sheet before applying,,the rear stripe cracked a bit on the 90 degree bends{at top of rear qtr pnl//trk deck} so had to battle that for a few x-tra hrs just to get it acceptable. I should have used some decal softener b4,,but oh well itll be alright. BTW,,,THANK YOU MCM FOR CONDENSING THIS POST WITH THE OTHER OLDER POST,, its alot easier to look thru,,and makes more sense when I look at it. Now just have to do the wheelie bars,,chute,,and THE WING!! I love "THE WING" I added an x-tra blade in the middle of the wing,,it looks pretty cool,,and if it were ever added to a 1:1 car/wing,,it would increase downforce quite alot. You could even make the 2nd wing adjustable to really tweek the downforce. Anyways,,thanks for all the kind comments,,and happy Building! :D

Love it. Very imaginative. Too bad that current drag racing doesn't show more innovation like this.

Why thanks Bob,I think it turned out pretty much how I imagined it when I first started it,,I know one thing, theres not another like it out there,,I did web searches for a few days to see if I could find something similar,,aside from the exsisting flatoppers back in the day,,and today. Couldnt find anything. Now I know alot of Daytona Charger fans might not like what I did to this,,but since I already have 3 "Winged " Daytona/Superbird cars,,,I wanted to try something totally wild with this one,,dont mean to offend the original design,, just wanted to challenge myself to see if I could pull it off. Thanks for the kind words,,Happy Building! :D

This came out awesome!!! Nice job!!!!

Thanks AM,,it was a tough build because I had to do it pretty much "by the seat of my pants",,there was no instruction sheet included with this kit,,lol. There are alot of things I learned about cutting/fab work from doing this,,which will serve me well later. Also,,{in case anyone was wondering} I know the side decals are from the Ray Fox/B Baker nascar shop, but ,they were the only Dodge related shop decals I had in my leftover decal bx,,and thats why I used them,,and this was built on a 0 $$ budget,,I couldnt afford any aftermarket decals. I just started an AMT 1990 Chevy C-1500 sportside truck that will be a stock build{aside from a few engine mods{wink,,wink} just to take a break from 'modifying" it. Thanks again for the kind words,,H :D appy Building!
