williamchevelleman1972 Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 (edited) Started work on making a v12 for the 1/16 trucks Edited February 9, 2014 by williamchevelleman1972
olsbooks Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Yup Tom, they were 2 stroke. 53,71,92,149, etc series Detroits are all 2 strokes. Nice job William. Gotta start saving my pennies. Being a former GMC guy, once the gold nugget is done, somehow want to try a GMC General 12V and a Michigan Train in tow in 1/16. One of these days.....I can hear it screaming and leaking now.... Again, thanks for coming up with this stuff. Looks really good!
williamchevelleman1972 Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 it take time to try to get it right i was thinking of a 6 v71 DD in a 1/16
19nova72 Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 I drove a 4090 IH Transtar back in the late 70's while in the army. It had the Detroit V12 in it. Ran like a demon.
