freightshaker Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Reminds me of those old Tom Inman trucks. Looks great!
Casey Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 For weeks I thought about the exterior color and had decided on this color as it had that vintage look to it. You are correct, the green definitely adds to the old school look.
kilrathy10 Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 (edited) Oh, this is looking just too dadgum sweet!!! Outstanding mods and paint....This looks great... I really like that paint scheme....Nice....Simple, yet tasteful.....And the rivet removal.....A stroke of genius.... Edited February 27, 2014 by kilrathy10
purepmd Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 This is slick! Modifications are so well done! Single headlights look like they were always there. The design and color choice of the paint is stellar. Period perfect, Well done.
am73grand Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Sean this is really coming along nicely!!! You're a lot farther along with you r build than I am with mine!!
tbill Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 beautiful job so far, great details, this is awesome!
Old Buckaroo Posted March 1, 2014 Author Posted March 1, 2014 (edited) Thanks for looking in and commenting, I cant even begin to tell you how much it has motivated me ! I am getting really excited to be where I am at on this build. I set the cab on for a visual on where to locate the foot stirrups. The front is sitting about 1mm high at this time as I dont want to take the chance of not being able to get the pins back out of mounting holes. Yee~ha ! Edited March 4, 2014 by Old Buckaroo
Q tip Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 she looks like a simple old farm truck you would see hooked to a hopper bottom trailer. very nice!
purepmd Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Oh Ya, thats it! I would not worry about 1 mm. These kits never seem to have the cab sit perfectly level. Better it is a little high in the front, than look like it is not latched dowm in the back. It looks like a restoration you would see at an ATHS show. Well done.
Old Buckaroo Posted March 4, 2014 Author Posted March 4, 2014 Hey guys I really appreciate the comments. John this truck has a blue sparkle steering wheel in just for you. Well here will be the last two pics for the workbench section as this one is coming to an end quickly. Got the foot stirrups made, cab is mounted . All that is left is the mudflaps, pogo stick and mirrors and a few more details. Thanks for looking in
Casey Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 (motions arm up and down indicating desire for driver to blast air horn) Looks good, Sean.
Arnd Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Hy Grate work on this kit. The single front lights gave the truck an old style look. Hust wonderfull. So long Arnd
