Truck parts Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 That's one mean looking build. Looking forward to what you do next.
Mooneyzs Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Tyrone.... this is coming along nice and looking good. I like the first pic with the bigger injector hat on it, it makes it look a little meaner looking in my opinion.
futurattraction Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 If you're going for "wow" factor, I'd go with the bigger hat in the first pic. It's all coming along great, Tyrone. Keep up the fantastic work!
Skypower Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 I vote for the first one also, the wilder the better to me at least in the modeling world.
tyrone Posted March 29, 2014 Author Posted March 29, 2014 Thanks for the input fellas... I like the big one too.. just dont want it to look cartoonish... if that make sense... well I got home today to get a package that I had been checking the mailbox daily for like a big income tax check or something..And it came today.i.. These are my first set of wheels from Jim @ Micro Nitro.. and I have to tell you with great regret... thanks to Jim.. I wont be using the wheels from the Chi-Town Hustler kits anymore.... lol... these wheels are off the chain... I also got the rear end painted.. and touched up the rear coil springs... Of course I had to share a few pics... Thanks for looking and comments welcome....
shift13 Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 The big one looks best to me! Tyrone its because of you im now starting my own scratch builds. Incredible work!
Red rocket 10 Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Tyrone the car is smoking ! Love the wheels ........... Leonard

tyrone Posted March 29, 2014 Author Posted March 29, 2014 Thanks for checking in Leonard.... Jim's wheels are top shelf... can't wait to get some more....
W-409 Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 I might have missed it, but what's your source for that engine? Ross Gibson? I have the Blower and injector hat already, but I need to find engine from somewhere. Yours looks spot on. Nice work also! Your scratchbuilding skills are really superb and so is your detailing too. I can't wait to see more of this build (And your other builds, too). Keep them coming!
tyrone Posted March 31, 2014 Author Posted March 31, 2014 Thanks Niko... the engine is a Ross Gibson.... I got a little bit done today.. I sprayed a coat of primer on chassis for final sanding before paint...I've also got the rear brakes started on the rear... thanks for looking and comments welcome....
tyrone Posted March 31, 2014 Author Posted March 31, 2014 still debating on blower setup... I cut a whole in front end to see how they would look...here's a few pics...
STEALTHRUNNER Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Tyrone..I would go with the second set-up,looks more in balance with the whole car....NASTY.
Ray_Ray Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 I agree with the guys. I say the second pic looks the best. Just seems to fit the look of the car.
Mooneyzs Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Tyrone.... This is one bad A$$ build my friend and looking killer. Loving the rims on it too... Jim did an awesome job. I have to agree that I like the 2nd pic with the blower. I have been told bigger is better....haha lmao
1320wayne Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Tyrone, the setup on the top picture is just too small for this build. However, IMO, the bottom setup looks to be too big. You need to find some middle ground. I have always thought the styling of that Flashpoint blower hat was nice but a bit out of scale. That's just me though. By the way, the build is coming along nicely, as usual.
