fitforbattle Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 It'll be just a curbside. I have an idea to do the same as this only with a Challenger, gotta find the Challenger parts first though... Not sure what I'll call it, maybe just KOOOOOOOLLL!!!!!! A Niodge Skyllenger!!!!!
DrKerry Posted June 22, 2014 Author Posted June 22, 2014 Well, got a lot done on this. Car is pretty much done with the exception of the wheels. I found myself taking some self threading 3/4 inch conduit connectors from Home Depot to make the hoops. They will be painted white with the chrome Camaro centers in them. I have the hoops cut and the centers trimmed. Now I have to mate the two together and paint them and get them installed on the car. This thing looks pretty sharp so far. Pics coming soon I hope!!
bobthehobbyguy Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 What do the hoops look like? Looking forward to seeing this on tires.
DrKerry Posted June 22, 2014 Author Posted June 22, 2014 Thin walled cylinders, look good so far. Get pics this week. It's gonna have an aggressive look to it!! Forgot to mention I sent pics of this to Bo Zolland and he seemed to appreciate it. He asked if I ever sell my builds. I take that as a huge compliment. The finished pics will be sent to him as well! Thank you Bo Zolland for your views on Kool looking cars and having the eye you do!!
Kennyboy Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Thank you Bo Zolland for your views on Kool looking cars and having the eye you do!! I myself 2nd this statement!

BigBad Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 ...or...? Oh MAN! THIS is crazy! Like Penske signed up to race GT500 in Japan!
BigBad Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Ok, here we go........ Pics can tell the story.... Conduit connectors after grinding threads off. In tires I'd like to see this kick some Japanese butt! Nice "What if" concept! How about a Mustang or Challenger to compete with Audi/Mercedes/BMW in DTM?
DrKerry Posted June 23, 2014 Author Posted June 23, 2014 Challenger is next. Mustang could be done as well. Hmmmmmm???? Thanks Ken and Robert.
bobthehobbyguy Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Very cool. Great idea for the wheels. What do they cost?
DynoMight Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 This has inspired me to get a 2011 Camaro and a 2013 Mustang and take the Camaro bumpers and put them on the Mustang, once I get the kits ahhaha
DrKerry Posted June 23, 2014 Author Posted June 23, 2014 Hey Bob, they are only around a $1.50 each with tax... Not bad and they fit the Skyline rolling stock perfectly!!!! Thanks Glenn and Jonathan!!!
DrKerry Posted June 23, 2014 Author Posted June 23, 2014 K Bob, pics coming soon of the wheels. I have one done ready for paint, other three coming along.... Thanks James!!!!
DrKerry Posted June 24, 2014 Author Posted June 24, 2014 Ok, I'm painting wheels tomorrow. I am having a tough time deciding what color I want the hoops. I am stuck between painting the outer wheels white or red. What do you all think??? Thanks in advance!!,
DrKerry Posted June 24, 2014 Author Posted June 24, 2014 That's kind of what I'm leaning towards Bob!!!!!!
