Burnout Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Very nice Jim! I really like what you did with the wheels. They look great. How did you do it?
1930fordpickup Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Very well done. The color just pops as they say.
RatRod Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Looks great Jim, only thing, I have never seen anybody put throttle linkage on the ends of the carbs before....
crazyjim Posted February 18, 2014 Author Posted February 18, 2014 Thank you all very much. Ken - I just took some Testors Steel in the little bottle and used a small brush on the center section to give the wheels a cast look with machined rims.
crazyjim Posted February 18, 2014 Author Posted February 18, 2014 Thank you Rich. It's a very nice kit.
rustybill1960 Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 That is one sharp build there Jim, shiney too!! Thank You for sharing Is that the new Revell kit? Later Russ
crazyjim Posted March 5, 2014 Author Posted March 5, 2014 Thanks Russ. Yes - the new Rat Roaster kit.
outlaw035 Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 deuce came out great but still having trouble seeing u use the word "RAT" in a sentence....lol...
crazyjim Posted March 5, 2014 Author Posted March 5, 2014 Thanks Neal. Rat Roaster is the name of the kit, otherwise I wouldn't dare use the word "rat".
TheCat Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Jim, that's another beauty you have built. Great job.
Dr. Cranky Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Wonderful build, and I really love the detailing on those wheels. Good work.
geetee66 Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 This is kool as ice! I wondered about getting this kit. I like the wheel/tyre combo The contrasting blues work very well. Top-notch stuff, Jim!
crazyjim Posted March 15, 2014 Author Posted March 15, 2014 Thanks Guy. You'll many, if not most, of the chassis & suspension are from the '32 Ford 5 window coupe kit. The wheels are extremely nice.
