crazyjim Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Had the MPC kit and wanted it gone, so here it is. I used decanted Testors honduras maroon on it. I didn't like the kit wheel options and had a set of Cragar S/S in the parts box. I lowered it a little and messed up the paint trying to get the taillights positioned correctly.
slusher Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Very nice build Jim. I remember trimming the lights out before paint to get them to fit right.....
crazyjim Posted February 21, 2014 Author Posted February 21, 2014 Thanks Carl. I should have sanded the lights before. I didn't use much paint and thought the lights would just slide in. Half of each side did, but the other halves gave me attitude. I need to touch up a little.
thatz4u Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Jim, nice work, I'm building the Revell version now
crazyjim Posted February 21, 2014 Author Posted February 21, 2014 Thanks Al. I'll bet the Revell kit is much better.
bbowser Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 I think the '67 is my favorite, very nice job. I like the color.
Bartster Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 I like it alot. Quite a sweet daily driver quality to it. The Cragars look right at home !
PappyD340 Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Looks great Jim, I have that same MPC kit in the stash I will have to make a note about the taillights!
Chris White Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Very cool Jim, nice to know your human and make mistakes too!!!!
crazyjim Posted February 23, 2014 Author Posted February 23, 2014 Thank you Ray. I thought the pipes were a little large, but they seem to work.
crazyjim Posted February 23, 2014 Author Posted February 23, 2014 Thanks Mike. Cragars look good on almost anything.
