Just announced a few moments ago. From Ed Fluck at Drag City Casting. Ed's stuff is absolutely top drawer. He's selling the complete set as shown below. To order contact Ed at lowcab36@epix.net . Molds are completed and test shots being poured. When Ed provides pics of the resin pieces I will post them These are the masters in primer.

OK. Here it is. The official picture of an actual production casting of the louvered set, courtesy of Ed Fluck himself! Thanx Ed!

No pic showing Bernard. Just the photobucket link that says you either moved or deleted the image. definitely interested in seeing these. I have some of Eds stuff and you're right they fit just like kit parts.

That's odd. It shows on my screen just fine.

Update: I waited about 10 minutes and the image is no longer showing... I'll see what I can do.

Update to the update: I just reloaded the link and it's showing again. I'll close this window and wait a few minutes, then check again...

Yep, the photo's gone again. I'll try posting the picture from my own P-bucket account. The photo has gone missing everywhere it's been posted, whether in my posts or someone elses. It originates on Photobucket but I haven't been able to locate it.

Thanks for the hard work on the "masters" Roger.

Followed your work over at T.R.a.K.

Will be contacting Ed for a set or three.

Me too. i've already got a build planned for the first set of the 3 I ordered! Apologies to Roger for not giving him due credit for the masters. Without his intiative we wouldn't have them. When Ed makes pics of the test shot available I'll post them.

Sorry about the dead picture link. But fear not, Ed just published an official pic of the test shot. He's ready to take orders! Ed just sent me a request to pull the test shot picture. He's preparing a more professional looking photo of a production set. I'll post it as soon as Ed's satisfied with it and has released it. BTW, I'm in for 3 sets.

Picture to come...

I would note that the louvers on the side (engine) panels aren't consistent side to side: left side (of the car) looks to sit lower than the right. They look good otherwise to me and I particularly like that deck lid.

>Would this keep you from buying them?

well...maybe. but that's not the point; the point is I am pointing something out that could probably be corrected at least in the next run.

and I am a bug for symmetry on stuff like that...I would probably rework the low one and add material below it and take if off above it. kind of a lot of work honestly. but if I were building the car I probably would not even use those side pieces, just the hood and deck.

like I said, just a suggestion, those pieces look very nice and I really like the deck lid.

I got mine today. I couldn't resist grabbing a '36 off my (dusty) shelf and slapping them on. Fit and finish are flawless. They add a whole new dimension to the car. I can't wait to see what the rear deck louvers do for it too.

I just wanted to let you guys know that the molds for the louvered parts took quite a beating filling quite a few orders in such a short period of time. I tend to think at this point that I am not going to get the typical number of castings out of the molds; which are already at the 3/4 mark for life expectancy. If you had your eye on these I would not wait much longer. Sales have already dropped off at this point; so I do not foresee remolding these at this time.
