The Modeling Hermit Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 1960 Mercury Parklane convertible restoration. This was an easy project as the original builder hadn't loaded it up with custom pieces that could have damaged the body. I replaced the bumper/grills and hubcaps with Modelhaus units. The condition of this model was worth it.
disabled modeler Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Looks COOL!... I have the HT one to restore when I find what it needs yet....very cool save!
Grumpa Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Nice restoration Doug. I love the old "SMP - AMT" kits. It's a shame that they were not re-ran. Although I would hate to have that happen now that I have paid an arm and a leg for a few of them!
charlie8575 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 What a rare treat! The '60 Mercs are a nice-looking car. Great resto. Charlie Larkin
