curt raitz
I have always wanted to build a "Sketch Pad" vehicle when the "Truckster Sketch Pad" showed up in a current issue of Model Cars magazine...I found my subject Found the Revell 37 Ford Pickup model and started cutting & sectioning using sketh pad as a guide The modifications to the body went extremly smooth...so i thought shortening & narrowing the pickup box would be really easy...wrong The chassis, drive train, seats and engine are from Revell's 32 Ford kit and fit nicely to the modifed body parts. I added fuel tank, 6 dueces came out of parts box and exhaust tips are paint brush ferrels. The flame decals were robbed from the Revell's new 49 Mercury kit and the paint is Tamiya's Purple out of a rattle can clearcoted with Testors Ultra Clearcoat. all-in-all i had a lot of fun building this model. RobertGM2
Nice job! Maybe one day, I'll work up the nerve to attempt a modified hot rod like you did.

Lyle Willits
This is really nice AND it's not a rat rod. Having built 19 Revell '32 Fords and used parts from several other Revell '32 Ford kits on other build, I don't think your seats are from that kit. I do like them though. Any idea where they may have come from?
dub
Great job! I like the hot rod theme on this one better than the usual dirty rat theme. It just works better clean! Now, who's going to tackle the '53 Ford? I just missed (I think) one of the pre-painted flip-nose kits at a local discount chain. It would be perfect because the front is already cut off! curt raitz
curt...grt8 job...looks really cooool...neal Yeah i couldn't remember if they were out of the 32 Ford kit or not...they were laying in the box with all the leftover spare parts when i dug it out of the cupboard, so assumed that's were they came from...
