SlotDaddy1963 Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 (edited) Wasn't sure where to post this but it's "Light Commercial" I guess, Right? After getting back into model cars I found a few things I started years ago... here's one of them I plan to finish soon: I'd originally planned to power the lift with a screw-drive but couldn't find a motor slow enough. sorry so dirty... storage will do that to ya Handrails, steps and safety updates soon, Oh and a decent set of wheels Edited March 8, 2014 by SlotDaddy1963
Altered Visions Customs Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 (edited) So beyond cool man.....what if u used a motor from a mini helicootor or a old cell phone Edited March 8, 2014 by Altered Visions Customs
High octane Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Don't remind me as I've used those things hundreds of times when I was working. It does look good though.
SlotDaddy1963 Posted March 8, 2014 Author Posted March 8, 2014 (edited) Thanks, guys never thought of those motors... beyond that it would just be a matter of gearing, huh? Edited March 8, 2014 by SlotDaddy1963
blazefox Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 Nice and as for the motor you could wire in a voltage restrictor. I've found that basicaly gives it the efect of dead battery on the motor, making it wind slower
kilrathy10 Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 That looks awesome....Never thought of doing one of these.....And the dust and grime looks just like it came straight from the rental place.....This is cool....
stang_crazy Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH that looks very well built!!

Foxer Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 That looks really good! ... but I hate those things. Every time I told a customer to get a bucket so I could inspect their trusses they would come up with one of those. It's up and down for a short section then move. With a bucket I can do almost the whole thing with one lift. ... and, i don't like heights! Scissor lifts just don't feel safe but I will go anywhere in a bucket, despite how much they jiggle ... go figure.
Davewilly Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 very cool...we use them everyday in our shop...looks just like them!
