crazyrichard
put in the glass , put the hood on and shot some pictures outside , sadly there where no louds in the skye .. those always give great reflections so shot the rest inside
PappyD340
WOW Richard that Charger is looking KILLER for sure, Keep up the great work! Hey you ever thought about exporting some of that clear that you use? I like the looks of that product!
crazyrichard
thnx and well its really nothing super special just clear coat in a rattle can i'm sure something similair is out there all over the ...btw its funny stuff , when you spray it on and you can see that best on light colors it has some yellow-ish at places when dryed its all clear .. Mopar - D
Richard excellent paint job nice modern look your creating to this Charger. I like where your going with and looking forward to seeing you finish it.
crazyrichard
thnx dan , well coming together slowly went on and painted the underside of the hood matt black .. just enamel with a hand brush married the chassis / interiour and body and tbh it would not go together .. the underside of the side of the body is so much shaped inwards pfftt .. in the end it requiared some sanding and a lot of patience but it fitted here you see the dials .. i had to stick the decals behind the glass with tape ... there was no back plate .. but they look soo good that red dial almost looks real hihi the side of the front window shows , that will be painted black mopar magazine on the rear shelf the engine , still needs water hoses , heater hoses , battery , wiring .. with the hood on
slusher
Did the body pinch try to hold the interior back? I had trouble with a coronet like that and had to do some sanding on the inside of the body near the rear wheels...
crazyrichard
no it was more a wheel well issue i think and everything sit soo tight , the dash against the window and all .. but its in now
crazyrichard
these look killer , but they are from my sons snap tight vette , hope i can make a deal with him i did not like high ride hight .. too mild , on these pics its just loose under there but i love the slammed look !! i didnt do any suspension changes , maybe i can still put some bags under there ?! crazyrichard
thnx !! the deal is done my sons vette is now on some cobra wheels haha he didnt mind but ... usually on mock up and styrene stage i change the suspension so it makes sense .. now i could not and the body and chassis cant go apart , to much risk of damage ... so i took off the stock front suspension and took one from a i shall not name the car brand kit and i will use that to put the rims on .. now i'm going to be hounest at this point its hard to make something realisctic .. if i knew this before i would have cut out the stock wells and made more roomy ones and made sure i could have suspension like it should .. so i will make something new that looks attached and .. but it wont become 100% accurate or realistic i guess .. also the wheels didnt have brake discs .. and for the modern toutch i want big brakes so other discs from 1/25 kits are too small .. i took a hub cap and drilled out the center its about perfect size .. i willd rill holes in the disc and make it more metal later on .. then make brake calipers and stuff
crazyrichard
thnx mike front wheels are on .. i need to finish up the chassis mods and paint some stuff , will post pics later now these are stock wheel wells (inner wells) i only made the lip on the inside smaller but the wheels fot in there like this in stock form .. wheels and tryres are in tact nothing is shaved off ... i know its a bit low and most would like it a bit higher but i just liked the slammed look like its on air and down on its belly .. found some cool brake discs , painted them silver and washed the discs with blac , paited the calipers red so you see them better
