bec67440 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Hi, this is my 1956 Ford F-100. It started off as the Ed Roth paint shop truck but I modified it a little.I started by lowering it a little and giving it side exhaust. Finally, I added flat black Corvette Racing rims. It was a fun model to build but I hate the way the doors fit. Enjoy
PappyD340 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Looks real good Christopher, other than the fitment issue.
Chris White Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 nice work, but it might have some wind noise issues
Sixties Sam Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Nice truck! I built that kit a while back, and the doors gave me fits too. It took a lot of filing and sanding to get them to fit. Sam
Evilbenny Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Good job Christopher. I needed a magic wand to get the gaps right on my kit. I finally gave up and donated it to the local land fill after a long argument I had with mine. Glad to see you stuck with it and completed this one.
kennb Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 There is an issue with the kit alignment of the doors,,,,,,,they never do fit right without a lot of fiddling......nice color and build,,,,,,,interior looks very good... :) ...
bec67440 Posted April 27, 2014 Author Posted April 27, 2014 Made a couple changes to this truck. Fixed a lot of the gap issues with this model and trimmed the frame rails so that the bumpers are mounted flush with the body. I also changed the rims to ones that fit the trucks style better along with finding some exhaust tips that I added.
DeeCee Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 (edited) Very nice, i like the refinements you've done too. Edited May 8, 2014 by DeeCee
Danno Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 The makeover looks MUCH better! Wheels are more in tune with the truck, as you say.
