hotrod59f100 Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 (edited) Well I'm getting married in may and I'm in charge of the wedding cake . Myfiance Told me to make a replica of my car to put on the table next to the cake with a cake topper where she's dragging me away from the car. Well that's all good and well but no kits are avalible of a focus4 Dr wagon so a 2dr hatch will do . I started with a tamiya wrc focus . well enough talk here it goes . hotrod59f100 Posted March 14, 2014 Author Posted March 14, 2014 I cut and filled in the rally vents on the roof and hood .
hotrod59f100 Posted March 14, 2014 Author Posted March 14, 2014 (edited) I made a trunk floor because it was stripped out for the rally car. I also made a audio system like the one I have in my car I made a rear seat out of a 30's Ford truck bench seat. Edited March 14, 2014 by hotrod59f100
hotrod59f100 Posted March 14, 2014 Author Posted March 14, 2014 (edited) The closest color that testers had to my focuses blue . Just sitting on the wheels and tires that came with the kit . Edited March 14, 2014 by hotrod59f100
Jantrix Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Congrats on the upcoming nuptials, but if you haven't watched a "Funniest Videos" show in a while, some pretty wacky accidents happen at weddings all the time. If you love your models the way I do, I'd hate to have mine damaged or destroyed because some 7 year old saw it and thought "TOY!!!" or any other possible scenario. Have a great wedding, and wishing you all the best in life.
hotrod59f100 Posted March 14, 2014 Author Posted March 14, 2014 Thanks and I'm the same way its gonna be on the cake tabel which is all by its self . I have some one cutting the cake and watching over it. The cake is 5 theirs so yes it will be garded . lol thanks for the congats. Here's the pic of the just married windshield banner .
cobraman Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 If you really want a wagon I believe someone makes a die-cast one.

Skydime Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 (edited) It's nice that she is incorporating your hobby into the wedding. Looks to be a promising wedding and future for the two of you. But anyone here can attest to one rule of marriage to remember...happy wife, happy life. Edited March 14, 2014 by Skydime

hotrod59f100 Posted March 17, 2014 Author Posted March 17, 2014 (edited) Got a dash from a motor max focus. In it now . all I got left is finishing up the seats and putIng details into the chassis and here's a sneak peek of what my cake is going to look like the bottom pillers will be the same Edited March 17, 2014 by hotrod59f100
ToyLvr Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 you do realize this is the last thing which you will be ever "in charge"? Joe's right. Can't y'all just get a Learner's Permit for a while? ;-) When my daughter got married in '09, we had a big wedding for her. First thing hat happened at the reception is that the chocolate fountain got knocked down! Cake almost got it, too! So, watch out for the model.... GOOD LUCK!!!!

Chromecop Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 (edited) Actually It's a 1999 Stratus Convertible (same as Sebring w 2.5 liter Mitsubishi V6). Last October I bought however a 2006 model Sebring cvt with 2.7 Chrysler V6. That old red one will shortly be for sale..... ( the 1:1 scale that is ) Edited March 17, 2014 by Chromecop
