Skypower Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 (edited) Picked this up today not sure where I'm going with it yet but I think chopped, slammed and a blown Hemi. Going to be all new skills to build this one for me so who knows if it will survive or if we will have a ceremonial crushing. lol Should be fun wish me luck. Build #3 for me I'm in way over my head. lol Edited March 18, 2014 by Skypower
slusher Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Sounds like a great build. I have one in my stash to finish....

Speedfreak Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Ok Bob, work the magic. what engine(s) does the kit come with?
Skypower Posted March 15, 2014 Author Posted March 15, 2014 Gene I think its a flat head in the kit. I didn't really look I'm at the office today.
bpletcher55 Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Good luck ,it,s hard to go wrong with a 32 ford.
Skypower Posted March 16, 2014 Author Posted March 16, 2014 Ok chopped my first top what do you guys think. Did I get the look right or is it still to tall the more I look at it I think it might be. Playing around with some looks on how to go about this build tell me what you think. Thanks Bob
rockin562 Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 The last pic looks great. slap some wide whitea on it
Speedfreak Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 (edited) I think it looks good as is Bob. Did you use any 'how to' reference or did you just cut? I've only chopped one top on a '32 and I just cut, It turned out ok. If those are the wheels and tires from the kit they look pretty good and BIG. Edited March 16, 2014 by Speedfreak
Belugawrx Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 The last pic looks great. slap some wide whitea on it Agreed Are you going to channel or Z-frame?
Skypower Posted March 16, 2014 Author Posted March 16, 2014 Matthew thanks for the input. Gene I just cut in about the middle maybe a little to the towards the top and then kinda played with the look till i thought is was right, then trimmed to size and glued, never really thought to reaserch that job. The last set with the rims are from the 68 Hemi Dart, I may steal the Hemi from that or I have an RG Pro Mod motor that I may use. I'm just not sure if I have the skills to put that RG motor together yet.
Skypower Posted March 16, 2014 Author Posted March 16, 2014 Agreed Are you going to channel or Z-frame? I'm playing with something a little different for that right now I'll let you guys know how it goes after the weekend.
Skypower Posted March 17, 2014 Author Posted March 17, 2014 Not quite finished with chassis yet but you can see where it's headed now. Let me know what you think. Thanks for looking. Bob
slusher Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 WOW, some great progress already. Just a question, is the Dart rear tires a little to big or will they work???
Skypower Posted March 18, 2014 Author Posted March 18, 2014 Well since I didn't have any 4 link parts, I'm still messing around with suspension stuff trying to figure out what I need to order, to move forward, I decided to add some more details. Made pedals, and I needed to narrow the seats to have room for the drive shaft. I'm not sure where this build will take me but that's part of the fun. Let me know what you think. Thanks for looking. Bob
DrKerry Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 Likin what I see so far, love the frame work!!!!!
crazyrichard Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 hmm thats cool , love the chassis and set up !!
Skypower Posted March 19, 2014 Author Posted March 19, 2014 Just got the seats cut apart and put back together tonight not much else just some test fitting. Still need to fill the gap in the seats one came out much better than the other. Thanks for looking. Bob Oh yea ordered some parts from RB motion and will be getting some stuff from futurattraction also.
slusher Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 You did a nice job on those seats Bob, I know your not done with them...
