Has anyone made a resin grille for '87 Chevy Van? Or is there even a kit with that kind of a grille, but I believe that all of those kits are from older Vans. I just bought a real Van and I'd like to build a replica of it.

This kind of Grille I'm looking for:

You might find something close in the various AMT Chevy Vans. I built an '85 GMC that my daughter owned and it had a Chevy grill, though the GMC one I used seems closer to what you need. The center would need rebuilding and chroming .. I used Alclad on the one in the photo.

I did a search here and the first photo on this page has a similar Chevy grill ... it may be the A-Team one. If it looks close I'll find it and get a photo up .. and it's yours if you can use it. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/?showtopic=76777&page=2

Mike- that GMC grille is the A-Team part. It's the closest one I've seen to what Niko has on his van. It would work with modification, or you might be able to rework an MPC Chevy pickup part, that one has the quad stacked headlights.

Niko, are those quad headlight washers at the inner edge of the headlight bezels, even with the grille's center bar?

Thanks so much Fellas!!!

Chuck said the lights could be useable from MPC Chevy Pickup. I guess that might be the best starting point, even if I still should scratchbuild almost everything else. :) But realistically thinking, building that grille should be possible.

Mike: Where did you get the bumpers? They seem to be just right.

Casey: Yep, that's correct. I haven't tested if they work, but I believe they do.
