Kevin44 Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Hello, new guy here. I got back into modeling for the first time since I was a kid this year. It was far too brutal of a winter to do anything to my real truck, haha. My wife bought me this kit as a Hanukkah gift and I've had a great time building it.
Old Buckaroo Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Your winter confinement was spent well. This looks really well built, great attention to in-cab detail. I am also a fan of the paint scheme.
trick my mixer Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 That paint job was made for that truck. Good interior detail.....Looks great!
Kevin44 Posted March 30, 2014 Author Posted March 30, 2014 Thanks guys, the paint job is far from show quality, but for a first attempt I'm happy with it. I learned some things to improve the next time.
Old Buckaroo Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Alright I am curious - What color of green did you use on the cab and what is your real truck ?
Kevin44 Posted March 30, 2014 Author Posted March 30, 2014 It's rust oleum "gloss fern" green. It was the most '70's shade that I could find at Lowes, lol. My original plan was to just paint it solid dark blue, but I found a few pics of trucks with this stripe, so I decided to go for it.
Kevin44 Posted March 30, 2014 Author Posted March 30, 2014 This is my 379, needless to say after the winter we had it isn't shining like this right now lol.
Old Buckaroo Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 (edited) Nice 379 - Real nice Thanks for the color ! Edited March 30, 2014 by Old Buckaroo

SuperbirdKing43 Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Awesome looking Titan 90. What shade of green is that on the Detroit? Is it an exact match? Thanks.
SuperbirdKing43 Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Thanks a lot. I've been trying to find a paint that would match.
