Brandriet16 Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Hey everybody! My name is Austin Brandriet, I'm from North Dakota. I always had been interested in building models when I was younger and attempted to do so, but was always too impatient and then never turned out how I hoped they would. Lately though I have started to pick the hobby up again and would always search for various things on Google for models and would get lead here so I decided to join! Right now I'm kind of just a bystander on this site, I really love checking out the restomods, Chevelles, Camaros, all GM cars basically and muscle cars from the 60's to 70's. I currently have two projects on the workbench, being an AMT 1970 Chevelle and a Revell 1999 Silverado C/K. The Silverado because I owned that as my first vehicle, which I plan on doing just like mine for the most part (Different interior and Rhino-Lining the Bed on the model). The Chevelle because that would be my dream car but I switched out the 454 that came with the kit for a RGE Alley Rat (502 TPI) because that is the dream engine I would put in my Chevelle. I haven't made much progress on either because I go to school 3 hours away from home, but I'm slowly working on them and on polishing my own skills within the modeling hobby!

Modelbuilder Mark Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Welcome back to the hobby. The nice thing about the web, and forums like this, will really help even out that learning curve and make progress easier for you now. Plus, well, you are not a kid anymore. Have fun like one tho!
crazyjim Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Welcome Austin. Check out Rust-o-leum texture paints to duplicate Rhino liner.
