And yet another one done up for my friend Jeff who will have this on a slot car chassis for drag racing. The wheels and tires are just for the pics. This is the Revell 54, a HORRIBLE kit. But Jeff likes the post car so here it is. I added some headlight and taillight bezels made from baremetal. This kit has not headlight reflectors, so its just silver paint. The rear windows on these things are too small and literally fall through the opening. Luckily I had an extra 54 lying around. And its window was a tad larger, still almost falls through. I added rear quarter windows made from cut down Revell 56 Chevy windows. Paint is Taymia British Green and Duplicolor white on the roof. With various weathering powders and the salt technique. I added "bird droppings" to this one. Oh, and as usual lots of dull coat. The next few he's going to have me do will be glossy cars. Im even gonna try my hand at a lace paint job. 20140404_072130.jpg20140404_072325.jpg20140404_072100.jpg20140404_072246.jpg20140404_072119.jpg

I picked this kit up in a trade and was shocked to see how bad a mold it was. I'll be using the gasser engine/chassis on something else.

I like what you did with this. Oftentimes builting a beater out of a stinker kit is the better part of valor. :D
