BLOODBANE Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Not sure if this is the right place (its kind of a street Rod/Mud bogger dragster) any ways on to the pics.... Based off the Ice T model. I have the So-Real BOGGERs/w rims and a rear axle. I need to find a coil over front axle, so this may be a long build. Just something a little different I figured....
bobthehobbyguy Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Interesting idea. Looks right. Looking forward to more.
BLOODBANE Posted April 13, 2014 Author Posted April 13, 2014 I think I found the shocks I want to use (late last night) They are off of a Losi Micro crawler. I can cut some of the coils out to adjust for height. I only had 2 good ones, so 4 more are in the mail. Looking for a coil front axle (like the resin ones) and have a bid on E-Bay. I will try and make the links out of some small all thread I have and aluminum with more Losi Micro ball joints and ball ends (which should make the suspension work)
BLOODBANE Posted April 17, 2014 Author Posted April 17, 2014 I finally got some more shocks in, so here a little up date on this (hopefully someone is interested) anyways here we go (just a couple of pics... I filled the rear of the frame of the T with styrene and cut the tailgate and mounted it to the body.... The "fuel tank" if you will.... Im still waiting on some axles (I have 4x4 gluebomb van and some B-N-L rockwells on their way), and then I can mount the rear shocks. One set is mounted to the body (front) and the rears will be mounted to the fuel tank....
Shardik Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 It's strange how right this looks. Yes, I'm interested; Keep going!
Ace-Garageguy Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Cool idea. Different is always good when it looks good.
BLOODBANE Posted April 26, 2014 Author Posted April 26, 2014 Here is an update on my progress. I have been waiting on a few parts to come in. Im gonna use a set of B-N-L RockWell axles... I tried my hand a wiring an engine (this is my first try)... I think it came out pretty good. I will add some radiator hoses and Im looking for an old kit radiator to plumb in (I will mount it in the back of the buggy. Thanks for looking and comments and advice are always welcome. Mark
always painting Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 That is a very sick build it's gonna look dope when it's done
BLOODBANE Posted April 30, 2014 Author Posted April 30, 2014 Here is another update (small one though)... I got my hydraulic steering set up and plumbed.... You can see the radiator I plan on using and the fan that goes with it... I have the motor "plumbed" as well.... I have really been enjoying this build, I have been adding a lot more detail with this one. You guys are a bad, bad habit (but I like it). Thanks for looking
Teddy J. Tannehill Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 I really like your idea, it could be used for off road, lots of ground clearance. And I bet that power plant with the Hi Rise Manifold would not stall.
