impcon Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Just wondering if any 69 Camaro models were ever released that did not have the hideaway headlights? If not, does anyone know of a resin caster who produces the normal Z28 griile for a '69 Camaro? I have a friend who has a stunning '69 Z28 convertible and I;d like to build him a copy of his car as a gift.. Any help will be appreciated..

AzTom Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 I need to know the same thing. AMT had the regular grill but the body does not look very accurate. I want a few for the Revell kit. The AMT grill will not fit the Revell. Tom

rasafyff Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Revell's 1969 Yenko Camaro has the standard grille. The grille fits the Revell 69 convertible kit.
Ford guy Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Look for the Revell Z-28 kit with the orange car on the box, it has them too.
High octane Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 That kit has one terrible lookin' body. I can't believe that people would actually buy that kit.
chitownbri Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 avoid those monogram 1/24 scale kits! those kits are awful. the revell 1/25 scale kits are far superior.
Force Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 (edited) The Revell 1:25 69 Yenko, and COPO ZL-1 kits has only the standard grille, the Baldwin Motion and Convertible kits has only the RS hidden light grille...and the Z/28 kits has both. Edited April 28, 2014 by Force
Skip Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 That kit has one terrible lookin' body. I can't believe that people would actually buy that kit. I thought it was just me, that body looks a little thick through the belt line, first I thought it was the side pipes. Then I looked closer, too thick put that thing on a diet!
