rctruk Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Tom: You have a fine looking Chevelle, all the little details do make it stand out. I like the paint, looks like it is a mile deep.
Bowtienutz Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 (edited) thanks, and yeah, ya caught me, I didn't put one half of a belt pair in there, was getting crowded Vince, thanks for the clarification Mid size GM cars of the 60's were never built for fat chicks anyway, just little car junky kids that would build models when they grew up. Buckle up kids I'm gonna dust this guy! Edited May 7, 2014 by Bowtienutz
freakshow12 Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Very nice build. I wish there was an up top for this kit
Brizio Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Engine looks great! I really like also the color you chose.
tbill Posted May 8, 2014 Author Posted May 8, 2014 thanks for the encouraging words guys . I hope to finish it up tomorrow night. Vince, you crack me up
BigBad Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 (edited) Excellent looking model you have there, I just wish AMT would have stepped up their detail though. It would have been nice to have a little better chrome trim (front bumper-grill) and tail lights. But as far as your build is concerned, it's doing great! Just love that old forgotten generation Chevelle. That '69 is one of the best looking. Edited May 8, 2014 by BigBad
tbill Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 thanks. and yes, a little more detail would have been nice, especially the interior tub...the door panel lines are faint, and not very well molded. tail lamp fit could use some work as well. but alas, it is done and posted under glass. thanks for looking everyone.
