APauling Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 I found this photo in my grandfather's collection. I don't know what it is. Any ideas?
peter31a Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 (edited) I would say Packard as well because of the shape of the grill shell and the hub caps. Mid to late 20's? Edited May 12, 2014 by peter31a
Art Anderson Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Packard Eight sedan, about 1927-28 or thereabouts. The shape of the radiator shell is the dead giveaway--note the "ox-yoke" shape at the top of the radiator--that motif never changed for Packard from about 1902-03 clear through to the end of the "Packardbakers" from South Bend in 1958. Rob Hall Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 This 1925 Packard looks similar in the wheels, grille, hood, lights, bumper...
unclescott58 Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Everybody who's responded has got nailed. Mid to late 20's Packard. Scott Aho
always painting Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Sick ride your grandfather was a very lucky man to have rolled around in it.
Rob Hall Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 My grandfather drove Packards, not sure how far back, but he had a late '30s one, an early '40s one (a '41 coupe that my parents took on their honeymoon in '48), a '49 and a '55 I believe.. I've seen photos of them long ago...he was driving a '69 AMC Rebel when I knew him in the '70s as a kid..
