Having trouble with photos

In the truck aftermarket and resin thread I am unable to attach pictures, Anyone else having trouble?

seems to work in the other threads

Yeah, I've been havin' problems posting photos on this forum as well, and no problems elsewhere.

I'm guessing you've used up you allotted storage space for attached images, Greg. Each member is allowed only so much space, so you'll need to use a photohosting site such as Photobucket to host your images, then cut and paste the links in your posts here.

How are you trying to post photos? Directly from your computer or via a photo-hosting site like Photobucket?

Looking at some of your previous posts in which you added image links form your PB album, like this topic: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=77793&hl=

...it looks like you used the HTML link instead of the "[ I M G ]" link. Use the IMG link at the bottom of the "Links to share this photo" in the right hand column, like so:

You also have your settings set so that when someone clicks on one of your posted images, it takes them directly to that image in your PB album. If you don't want that, you can change it in your album settings.

I've been having the same problem, not only with pics, but also with quoting other posts and posting links to other sites.

Posting photos from Photobucket is incredibly easy.

1. Open a new browser window and go to your PB album. Click on the upper right corner of the photo you want to post...you'll see a pop-up that says "Get Links"...

2. Click on "Get Links" and then hold your cursor over the IMG CODE link where it says "URL"...

3. Click. The image tag will turn yellow and it will say "copied"...

Then just paste what you copied into your post here. When you click "POST" your image will appear in your post here as if by magic.

To post more than one photo, go back to PB, click on the X at the upper right of the links popup to make it go away, and repeat the process for any other photos you want to have appear in your post here. Once you have all of the photo URLs copied into your post here, hit "POST" and they will all appear here in your post.

Harry, I managed to get it to work from my Photobucket , however, I do have a question about how I did it. Seems if I click on the "BB Code Mode" button in the top left corner of the reply box, it'll let me post pix and links. Is this a proper way to do it? And just what does that button do (me no computor savvy) ?

At what point does the process break down?

Are you able to copy the image URL on the PB site? Are you able to paste that info into your post here?

If you copied the correct info from PB and pasted it here into your post, it should look like this:

After you copy the code and click in the reply box, hit ctrl v..... Thats how I have to do it, as clicking paste does nothing....

It worked as a link, I was not able to use the image icon, It gave me a notice that pb was not allowed as a source here so that is why there is url in front of photo

I've noted that some people have gotten confused when they paste the IMG code into the reply box: You won't see the image until after you hit the Post button.

I switched to Imgur.com when PB and ImageShack didn't work well for me. This is a direct link code added with the image button and paste from the keyboard.
