72 Charger Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 (edited) Wow that is fantastic I think I may give this a try .What engine would it have ? Would it be possible for you to do a pic of the chassis please? Edited May 29, 2014 by Doobie
Jim B Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 In 1955, the Ford F800 had a 317 cid Lincoln Y-Block rated at 155 hp at 3900 rmp.
Plastheniker Posted May 29, 2014 Author Posted May 29, 2014 I think I just might. Need to find some decent 1950s wheels, though. I know where I can get the correct engine & transmission. Some days ago I read that Italeri has re-released its 1/24 Opel Blitz (military version) with better wheels. If this is true these wheels could be a good solution. Wow that is fantastic I think I may give this a try .What engine would it have ? Would it be possible for you to do a pic of the chassis please? Since the tank and the cab enclose the chassis of my model completely I restricted myself on essential chassis modifications as f. e. length, width, wheelbase, position of engine/gearbox/crossmembers, steering and fuel tank. As far as I remember the chassis of F-8 and F-800 were almost identical. If you want to detail a visible chassis you should find some very good material online. If your search remains unsatisfactory let me know. I am rather sure that I kept my old files.
Chariots of Fire Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Very well done! Great graphics and an ecceptionally clean build! I like it a lot!
