teardrop96 Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Just got back from Hobby Lobby with my fiancé. She was looking at bracelet charms. I am standing there trying to look interested, when I turn around and there is a stack of kits on clearance! Mustangs from the 70s', 2010 Z28s, 68 Coronet. Then I see it a Pro Stock 67 Chevelle, and a Chevelle Pro Stock Wagon. $13.00 bucks a piece. Got em both. Glad I stopped there instead of Hobby Town...
jrherald420 Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 They were marked down here about 2-3 months ago. Our stores have maybe 2 or 3 camaro kits left. Everything else was gone in the first 2 weeks.
Austin T Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Yea I'm still trying to figure out who took all those Mustangs...
slusher Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 I have not been in a while so I must have missed out....
GMP440 Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 You mentioned a 68' Coronet. Are you sure about that? If you go back can you take a pic of the box? The 68 Coronet was supposed to come out around 2007 but was cancelled.
jrherald420 Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Im sure it was the 67 Foose Coronet. They blew them out at all 3 of the Hobby Lobby's that i go to.
Deathgoblin Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 I picked up a 2010 Shelby GT500 for less than $9 earlier. They had several there that I wouldn't have minded getting.
Terminator-Fox Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 They're pretty much marking them down 40% anyway to think you're getting a deal instead of just using a coupon code.
jrherald420 Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 That is exactly what they do. Unless they sit and no one is buying them, then they get another 10% off. Only good thing is if they are something you want, then you can buy them all instead of one per day like normal.
teardrop96 Posted May 24, 2014 Author Posted May 24, 2014 Hey George, I will go back and check on that Coronet.
teardrop96 Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 Morning guys, this is my second report on the clearance action action, at Hobby Lobby, here in Austin. First of all it was the Foose Coronet. I hope I didn't mislead anyone. Second of all the kits in the clearance section have been reduced to around $8.50-$8.70!!! I am heading out in a while to get an armload. I bought an 2010 Camaro SS for the said price. I stashed a mustang, and hope to rope it soon.
slusher Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 I went to Hobby Lobby this morning and only saw 3 kits on clearance. I must have been too late..
teardrop96 Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 I saw the 65 Malibu Wagon(27.00) for (10.00) two 70 Mach 1's, three 69 Camaro convertibles. 69 Dodge Charger, 40 Ford, three Avanti kits, and three Foose Coronets.
mnwildpunk Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Darn it wish I had a hobby lobby by me it sounds like
Deano Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Stopped at our "local" Hobby Lobby on Friday. Nothing on clearance (or well hidden).

teardrop96 Posted June 2, 2014 Author Posted June 2, 2014 Gee, I am five miles away from Hobby Lobby. It's in the same place where HobbyTown is. Hey Deano, the kits were across from the "charms" section. They also had puzzles and other stuff around them on a three shelf piece. Birthday coming up, and I am asking for gift card from H.L.
johnbuzzed Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Slusher, you have to make a day of it. Don't go for just one kit; make a list- check it twice- and bring some extra cash and a couple 40% coupons. The HLs by me have good selectiosn of paints and glues and some "specialty" tools, too. Even some raw materials for fabrication. They have an app for Android phones, too, for that coupon. You can download it while you're there. Have some breakfast or lunch while you're out, stop along the way for a magazine or two, then head home to enjoy all the goodies. If you're married, it's always helpful to bring your wife if she's into sewing or anything like that.
mnwildpunk Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Thanks harry last time I looked I didn't see one but that was awhile ago
