Scottnkat Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Here's the Monogram Mark Martin Thunderbird. It's mostly box-stock with only a few changes. I cut off the stock exhaust pipes and used aluminum tubing instead. Also, the windshield was broken so I scoured until I found a spare that would work. It took some massaging, but I got it to fit. Also, the body was warped pretty well, but I got it back into shape (pretty much). The most difficult part of this build for me was simply mixing the paints to match the decal colors so I didn't have white areas around the windows and white roof rails. It's simple, but it was fun. peter31a Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Great build. Always love to see a Mark Martin car. Kudos!
bbowser Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Nice work, I always liked that paint scheme. Mark helped Roush Racing become what it is today, great driver, one of my all time favorites!
madhorseman Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 I am in agreement with the other guys here, nice Build. I'm a Mark Martin fan as well, and I don;t think I've seen this version too many times.
