greasemonkey352 Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 This is the first model I've built in a few months and my first post. I started building this model to practice some new techniques I'm learning. So far I've rubbed out the rear and used the chassis, motor, rear axle, all tires, and the seats from the 41' willys street rod. The willys body was just a test body for painting.
futurattraction Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Everything looks good so far, Brandon. Keep up the nice work!
slusher Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Looks really good and the willys has a decent paint job on it. Save the willys body for another...
greasemonkey352 Posted June 2, 2014 Author Posted June 2, 2014 Thank you guys for all the encouraging comments. I am planning on posting an update tommorrow
greasemonkey352 Posted June 8, 2014 Author Posted June 8, 2014 Hi guys! Sorry about the late update and the double post I've been busy moving to a new house, but anyways I started scratch building a wheelie bar and I have completely finished the body work but I don't have any photos of it yet. Enjoy!
Dragfreak Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 You ought to scratch build a tube chassis for the willys, that paint looks great
LunaticRick Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 The pic of your mock up has a mean looking stance, is that how it will be?
greasemonkey352 Posted June 8, 2014 Author Posted June 8, 2014 Yeah that's how I'm planning to have the car sit once it's finished
greasemonkey352 Posted June 10, 2014 Author Posted June 10, 2014 Well I screwed up the paint in front of the drivers side door so that now has to be repainted but other than that the mock up is looking fine to me. I got the brake wires run to the top of the diff. Because you won't be able to see them there. I still have to paint the chutes. tim boyd Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Lookin' really, really sharp so far and a great stance! Will be watching this one closely as it comes together. TIM
