Wonderbread Kustomz Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Got this kit close to two years ago, painted it last October and it's just been sitting in the box waiting for me... Decided to start back on it again... Gonna be a lowrider bomb build. Definitely thinking supremes on this... Color is flat black followed by green metal flake followed by lime gold flake... Was tempted to run spokes, but not entirely sure yet...
slusher Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Great color.Going to look great slammed Where did you get the rug/seat cover?
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 Thanks Carl... I made it... Used the craft thread at walmart and just alternated color strands... I've got a ton of this stuff in a lot of colors, so I'm gonna be making more eventually...
kriztsq Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 very nice paint, I would like to see the interior more, looks matching with the body
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 Thanks guys... Carl, yes inlaid masking tape out, lined the thread on the tape and then used a glue/water mixture and brushed that over the thread... So once it dried I removed it from the tape...
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 So I had originally painted the interior tub and was going to flock it charcoal gray, but since I don't have anymore flocking of that color and doesn't it always work out to where you wanna mix white and black flocking and low and behold, all I have is black flocking, I decided to use embossing powder instead... So I brushed some white glue on the areas to be flocked and layed the powder over it... I'll hit it with some primer and see if I need to add a second coat of the embossing powder which normally I do end up having to do...
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 Thanks Carl... After a coat of primer...
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 Carl, this is the thread I was talking about...
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 What a pain , but I got the door handles and window cranks in place...
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 And the dash is done... For some reason I never painted it, so I had to play with some colors to get a color that would contrast fairly well with the body... Man, these kits have some Mazing details to them...

Wonderbread Kustomz Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 And one final touch... Key ring and key...
