johnbuzzed Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Well, I think it's a 1950... I could be wrong. It's the first issue of the kit by Revell; I finished it in early 2011. It's box-stock except for some BMF. I didn't even drill out the exhaust tips or intakes but I did fill in the seam in the front end because I thought it was just ugly. The color is Testors One Coat "Mythical Maroon". Hope you like it. Comments and critiques are welcome. http:// http:// http:// http:// http://
Scalper Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Looks really nice. good job. I used that same paint on my 57 ford.
Ramfins59 Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 That looks pretty good John. Nice and neat and clean as usual.
rmvw guy Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 (edited) You almost talked me out of looking at it with your own critique. Nothing ugly about it, in fact I really like it! Nice job on all the paint It looks like something I would love to own. Nice job John. Edited June 10, 2014 by rmvw guy
1 bad55 stan Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 very nice, good to see a stock build of this kit!
Maxicoop Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Great lookin' pick up .......... love the color it fits the truck just right ............ and very nice detail ...........
Lovefordgalaxie Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Loved it!!! Great color, and way nice Flathead with a Duntov kit. That should sound really good with those glasspacks.
johnbuzzed Posted June 11, 2014 Author Posted June 11, 2014 Thanks to all for the compliments. I'm not sure if I like the One Coat Lacquers more than Tamiya rattle cans but it's real close.
Dirty Dave Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Great build! A fine detail, but that's the second edition of the kit. The first one (blue truck on the box) was stock only - no Ardun heads, multi carbs or dual exhausts included. Either way, you did some fine work.
johnbuzzed Posted June 18, 2014 Author Posted June 18, 2014 Thanks, Don and Dave. And Dave, I have CRS and I really thought that was the first issue of that model. I think it had all the stock pieces plus custom/big wheels and tires and the engine options that you mentioned, plus a sheet of cool decals.
