ouel88
I'm putting them in water, then leaving them on paper towel for 30 or so second than applying them on the car...but they don't stick. They keep falling off.
Miatatom
Sounds like you may be leaving them in the water too long and all the adhesive is dissolving. Here's several threads that might help: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=75227 http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=41822 http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=35783 http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=26609 http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=45740 http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=76542 http://www.scaleautomag.com/How%20to%20and%20Models/How%20To/2009/04/How%20to%20apply%20decals.aspx http://ilovewood001.tripod.com/modeling/decal.html http://www.craigcentral.com/models/decals.asp http://www.modelcartips.com/decals-and-markings.html
Jantrix
Sounds like you may be leaving them in the water too long and all the adhesive is dissolving. Yep, warm water, and just long enough for the decal to loosen.
jbwelda
not sure why they would be doing that if you are using the method described. if it were just one set of decals I would say its the decals but if it happens consistently that is puzzling. maybe try using bottled water instead of tap water? but if you can get them to conform to the surface (microsol and a wide soft brush and maybe hair dryer to coax them around curves) then perhaps you can put some Future on them or possibly under them with a soft brush, they will be stuck down well by it. jb
