jbwelda Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 not to put too fine a point on it, but maybe instead of this pidgin business maybe you should concentrate on clearing up the flagrant misuse and out-of-context use of words (english words) in the magazine. believe me it is out of control. if you would like a context checker, send the manuscripts to me to review...i guarantee at least two misused words per page. it really is amazing...but i give you major points for consistency if nothing else. spell checkers have pretty much eliminated the true typo but not the context inaccuracies of just plain using the wrong word in a sentence. clarity can be king you know...in vision as well as thought. the devil is in the details and if we as modellers dont care about details, well, ... maybe this belongs in rants and raves so if so feel free...
LVZ2881 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 I'm sitting here wishing I had paid more attention in Japanese language class in high school!!!

Ahem! Capital letters? Coherent punctuation? modellers? dont? Let he who is without sin cast the first stone! Points for using to and too correctly however! All in good fun! All of this pidgin and Japanese makes Zeb's Flawduh shtick seem tame. We could easily understand him! I have no idea what you Nippophiles and Faux-Hawaiians are saying........Hmmmm!... Maybe that's the point. Edited January 16, 2008 by Modelmartin
jbwelda Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 ahem yes andy but you see there is a large difference between hacking away on some message board and writing for publication where the results are in print for ever and ever. or even just forever. gregg i replied to your message, i would be happy to assist any way i can.
