Wonderbread Kustomz Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Got this yesterday and couldn't wait to start work on it... Wanted to do a pro touring style build with this.... Based loosely on this pic I found on Google... Filled in the rear bumper holes... Since the holes were very small, I used Bondo spot putty, I rarely use this stuff for any filler due to shrinkage, but I feel confident that the small holes won't ghost after I primer... Engine has been started and block and transmission have been painted... Chrome parts for the engine and the exhaust pipes have been stripped with purple power... And a mockup using pegasus torque thrust wheels, 19s up front and 23s in the rear...
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted July 5, 2014 Author Posted July 5, 2014 Thanks fellas... Ray, I figured you'd like this...

Wonderbread Kustomz Posted July 7, 2014 Author Posted July 7, 2014 Got the chassis and suspension almost done... Now time to work on painting the body...
cobraman Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Looking good. If you don't mind a suggestion and it's not too late you might consider flowing some black detailer on the springs. It will settle in the recesses and look better. Not trying to tell you how to build your model i have enough trouble with my own but i think you would like the look better. Keep her goin' !
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted July 7, 2014 Author Posted July 7, 2014 Thanks Ray... It's not too late and I agree you are right... I started looking at it and I thought I should go ahead and do that... Thank you...
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted July 7, 2014 Author Posted July 7, 2014 Got the body in clear... I used Rustoleum crystal Clear enamel and I must say, I like it... My first time using it... Black washed the coil springs...
