I am working on a 1/16th Minicraft Model A truck.

The fitment of some parts is just awful, and the instructions are driving me crazy and make me scratch my head.

There is a generator on the engine that I believe is supposed to glue up with the fan belt assembly. The poorly drawn, poorly executed and simplistic instructions show that the genny mounts to the block. But in the real world, I have no idea how this thing should fit.

Yes, I have checked to see if I have the right part....and have done so about 58 times.

I am totally clueless...and dumb.

Anyone else ever run into poor instructions, and extremely poor fit?

Anyone else ever sit and scratch their head wondering who the heck designed this kit, and how you'd like to give them a piece of your mind?.

You are just working on a old kit with so-so instructions.

Want a kit that fits REALLY well and has great positive locators??? Try a Moebius Hudson kit....any of the kits....stock, race or convertible....all build super!!

Thanks, Dave.

I'd love to build that Hudson someday.

I built a Revell racing style Corvette a few years ago, and absolutely LOVED that kit. It was one of their Skill Level 3 kits. near perfect fitment, awesome instructions, and outstanding fit and finish. Did I say how much I LOVED that kit?

The Model A that we are building is due for a 4-H project Thursday morning...and I am fit to be tied with the wheel assemblies.

It's funny you mentioned these issues, as I was fighting the SAME THING this last week + . I'm building the Revell Countach and the diagrams are so gosh-awful. It's bad enough the kit has a bunch of fiddly assemblies and sections, but the instructions provide less than 0 help. Thankfully a guy two yrs ago documented his build on a car forum and i used his pix as directions lol

Jeff, I have scratched my head many times on some instructions from all brand kits. I have never built a mini craft kit. Sometimes box art pictures have helped me a lot..

I remember a lot of the vague instructions from my youth, it was frustrating. (pre internet) Some were very lacking in location placement points as well as the sub par instructions. On the other hand some were very informative in naming the parts and some historical dialog about the subject. It seemed to be hit or miss and I never understood why there wasn't more consistency as it seems all brands were guilty of this. Keep at it, use the internet for research, but above everything--have fun.

Don't forget Dave, Moebius instructions for Hudsons at least, are also great.
