Jaguar man 21 Posted July 31, 2014 Author Posted July 31, 2014 Thanks guys the only problem I've had is with the decal for the wood on the dashboard fell apart
Russell C Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 By coincidence, another thread here has come back up on a Southeastern Finecast metal kit for the Rover V8 which perhaps be used to cure the 'curbside' problem of the Aoshima kit: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=78922
Jaguar man 21 Posted August 6, 2014 Author Posted August 6, 2014 I saw that post trust me if I had the skill I would put it in my range rover but I'm not quite there yet, one day I'll try it
Jaguar man 21 Posted August 14, 2014 Author Posted August 14, 2014 (edited) I have the chassis glued to the interior, I also still need to get paint for the body Edited August 14, 2014 by Jaguar man 21
microwheel Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Nice work Jeremy. I've had issues myself with some kits decals. And it never seems to be a particular brand of kit either, I have had it happen with AMT kits, Revell, and different types of import kits. It just seems to mostly happen with older kits that have sat around for a long time. Don't know of there is any aftermarket solution out there to your problem, but I'm sure if there is, someone on here will be able to steer you in the right direction.
jbwelda Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 the problem with decals falling apart can be solved with foresight: brush some future over them, or spray them with some clear lacquer or use some decal preservative solution commercially available. it makes it so you have to trim the decal very tightly, and they will probably take longer to release from the backing sheet (don't get rough with them or they will still split) but they will hold the things together for application. jb
Jaguar man 21 Posted August 15, 2014 Author Posted August 15, 2014 Thanks for the tips guys I'll have to try them
Mopar - D Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 Nice rare kit looking forward to see more progress.

epi4561 Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Are you gonna go all Jeremy Clarkson on that Range Rover?
PatW Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 (edited) No don't go all Jeremy Clarkson, he's a pain in the backside here. Nice car, nice kit, if I could do a top chop, I'd convert it to a Range Rover Sport. The factory is just up the road. We see a lot of camo'd prototypes, all Land Rover / Jaguar vehicles. I look forward to seeing the rest of the build, well done so far! Edited August 22, 2014 by PatW
Jaguar man 21 Posted August 23, 2014 Author Posted August 23, 2014 Trust me if I could go clarkson I would ,I could not live without top gear, this is on my bedroom wall
epi4561 Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 That is awesome... My 10 yr old son and I love that show. I better not let him see that, or I'll have to do that to his room. I might have to do it anyways.. thx for showing that... Is that just painted on or what? a fathead maybe?
