squirrel886 Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Ok, so I caved in and bought this even thought the roofline is OBVIOUSLY wrong. *cough* REVELL *cough* About two hours work. Speakers removed from rear package shelf, battery mount removed, and 5.0 emblems removed.
squirrel886 Posted July 25, 2014 Author Posted July 25, 2014 Mold seam lines removed and OEM seats w/ side bolsters notched.
slusher Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 I agree nice start. looking forward to your progress..
slusher Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 (edited) Here's the tires and wheels. Those look great. Did the drag wheels come in the kit...? Edited July 26, 2014 by slusher
squirrel886 Posted July 26, 2014 Author Posted July 26, 2014 Carl, yes they come w/ the kit. I just misted on some dull coat to kill the shine.
66belair Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 That's looking good so far,I may have to get a couple of those kits,I have the first release. Although the roof is a bit off its nice to have a notchback for a change.
slusher Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 They look great with dulcote and I usually don't like them that way...
Bill Eh? Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Great work on the interior. I'm really impressed with the cage. It looks like you took your time with the cage tube joints, instead of just but-joining plastic rod together.
squirrel886 Posted July 28, 2014 Author Posted July 28, 2014 Bill, the roll bar was included in the kit. I tacked it first w/ Testor's liquid until everything was set. Once everything was set, I brushed more Testor's on all of the joins.
