gasser59 Posted February 8, 2016 Author Posted February 8, 2016 Thanks guys but it still has a ways to go before its done.
gasser59 Posted February 8, 2016 Author Posted February 8, 2016 Now that the body's done, I have a bit of fine tuning adjustments on the steering arm and drag link. Its under a bit of tension and not straight. Hopefully this fix is minor.
Codi Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Smart looking Brad. Well executed. I was looking over the weekend at past notes I printed from 2011 and came across some of your earlier builds and techniques that I'm going to attempt to replicate on my next build. It was good stuff then and I'm sure it's still so today. Cheers
gasser59 Posted February 9, 2016 Author Posted February 9, 2016 Thanks so much Codi. Have you put the printing plate to good use yet?
gasser59 Posted February 15, 2016 Author Posted February 15, 2016 A bit more accomplished but i had anticipated more. Got the aluminum firewall in held in place with Scale Hardware rivets. I was able to get the parachute finished. And the inside of the body was painted flat black. Makes a huge difference. Man I need to dust.
Mooneyzs Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Brad... this thing is looking killer.... nice job brother. Those little details are really standing out. Totally digging this build.
10thumbs Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Looking good Brad. Man, I hear that about the dust. When this fine car gets under glass though, no more dust. Michael
gasser59 Posted February 15, 2016 Author Posted February 15, 2016 Thanks guys. I was planning on finishing this build this weekend but it was not to be. It'll get done this week by hook or by crook.
gasser59 Posted February 16, 2016 Author Posted February 16, 2016 Thanks Bruce. Just a few more small details on my to-do list. Here's a couple shots from outside this morning. Almost there. Thanks for your interest and following along.
Codi Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Brad, those outdoor shots really show the car off nicely. Don't know about the dried mud (? ) its sitting in but the paint and detail really pop on it. Nice job sir. Cheers, Tim
gasser59 Posted February 16, 2016 Author Posted February 16, 2016 Dried mud?? LOL That's my stucco front patio wall. Thanks for the comment Codi. Much appreciated. Last thing to do is to add the small center caps on the front rims.
Davewilly Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Looks Great Brad! Cant wait to see it in person at the DSC in April.
gasser59 Posted February 18, 2016 Author Posted February 18, 2016 Thx Dave. I'll be glad to have this one done tomorrow.

gasser59 Posted February 18, 2016 Author Posted February 18, 2016 It will feel good when its done. I just need about an hour or so and those front rim center caps will be done. Thx for the kudos brother. Mucho appreciated.
Mooneyzs Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Brad.... this is one outstanding build here. It has turned out gorgeous . I can not wait to see this in person. Those center caps be the icing on the cake. Bet it feels good to be 98/99% done with this one.
gasser59 Posted February 18, 2016 Author Posted February 18, 2016 Thanks brother. Yes it will but then I gotta figure out what's next. Do I finish off something I've already started or move on to something new. I have a few ideas and one is looming larger than others. You'll like it.
gasser59 Posted February 21, 2016 Author Posted February 21, 2016 The Walt's Puffer Too is complete so it made its debut at the local ModelCon show yesterday. I'll take some outside pictures later on today.

Randy D Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Hey Brad, I keep coming back to this one and soaking more up, a really cool subject coupled with a flawless build and paint makes for an outstanding model! Look forward to be able to see this one in person. Congrats buddy!!!! Randy
Nytrozilla Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 That is one beautiful piece of art Brad. I'm so glad you went with a dull cap on the front spokies. Looks perfect.
gasser59 Posted February 21, 2016 Author Posted February 21, 2016 (edited) Thanks brother. Here's an outside shot. Looks great in the sunlight, if I do say so myself. Edited July 5, 2017 by gasser59
