wayne swayze Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 You're doing a great job on this build! I have a question....is the seat upholstery wrinkled and if so, how did you do that? Or, is it just an illusion from the paint? (OK....that was 2 questions.....sorry). Love the weathered dog dish hubcaps! This is going to be killer!

Yes the seat is wrinkled, and that was done using a lighter and heating it up and pushing it in with my fingers...
peekay Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Wow, that's really convincing. I like that there's still plenty of body paint visible - often there's just too much body rust on this sort of model (IMHO).
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted August 19, 2014 Author Posted August 19, 2014 Thanks Peter... And that's so true... I'm guilty of overdoing weathering at times, that's why I with this one, I wanted to take my time and study pictures I've found on Google... I have the engine glued to the chassis and cab is glued to the body... Next up is running exhaust and tail lights and the body to the chassis...
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 (edited) Just a peek... The truck is done for the most part minus a few detail items as well as griming the underside a bit more , and then it's off to get the plow in some paint... slusher Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Some nice weathering James. Truck is looking really good. I didn't know you was over here, sorry...
