I just got this kit and did a little mock up and looking for some feedback. The suspension is done and I shaved the door handles, hood, trunk, and moldings, wheels and tires came from a 58 impala kit.I made the rear skirts. Any ideas for color?

Wow. Color choices are SO much a reflection of personal tastes. Most any color can look good to someone!

What do YOU like? This car is all YOU!

Don't be afraid of color, go with your gut and don't worry what others choose.

That being said, these boxier body styles do two-tone nicely...

Thanks guys. I was thinking a two tone and also thought about scalops. But im starting to lean towards a solid just because this was suppose to be a quick build to get me back to my other projects. But thanks again for the input. Still have a few days before paint.

What I would go for are either:

Silver Mocha + Inca gold. Unique and period specific:

Or dark/light blue or green combinations.

Here are the possible stock two-tone combinations for the 1957 Ford:

I have seen a beautiful fairlane on the internet painted duskin tan and dusk rose, but I could not fine this combination in any official Ford document.

But for your customized Ford I would go for candy red or metallic purple :D

My favorite color is Coral Sand. If one is going for a stock '57 Custom, most of them, were single tone cars, being two tone more hard to find. Today it's just the opposite, as restorers like the two tone look.

I had a picture of a custom that the guy made back in the day. The car was Cumberland Green from the factory, and the guy painted scalops in Willow Green over it. The effect was quite interesting.

I was originally thinking two tone but since I removed the side chrome it wouldnt look right to me so I decided to go with a mild kustom look. Im kinda leaning towards a copper or orange metallic with a two tone interior.
