Antikainen Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 I really like that maroon and racing white color combo. All elements an parts used in this model results a magnifient, period correct but still unique masterpiece of plastic!
rmvw guy Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 This model is a piece of art, beautiful!
DeeCee Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 That is VERY VERY nice, great stance and overall killer look.
om617 Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Very stylish, everything blends together and makes it look very classy. Great looking hot rod.
Dennis Lacy Posted August 12, 2014 Author Posted August 12, 2014 Thank you, everyone, for your generous comments and compliments. I'm very pleased with how this car turned out. Definitely my favorite, and possibly my best workmanship-wise. I have seen a couple examples of this kit built into cool traditional hot rods over the years so I knew it was possible. I've had the general idea in my head for quite a while, just had to wait for the right time to where my abilities would give me half a chance at doing the project some justice. It came together surprisingly fast too. Under a month start to finish. I must have been in "The Zone." Thanks, again!
RatRod Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 That is the finest build you've done Dennis!!! Now, we need to meet up, and race for pinks.....
Ace-Garageguy Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 (edited) It's interesting to me that, on another thread discussing which models Revell might think about bringing out next, when the subject of an accurate '34 Ford was brought up, several guys were of the opinion that its appeal would be limited, and that these "old cars" were somehow past-it, and only of interest to "graybeards". What makes THAT interesting is the very strong positive response this model of Dennis' has on the forum. Obviously, well-built models of hot-rod icons still have quite a broad appeal. Somehow, I thought so. Edited August 12, 2014 by Ace-Garageguy
58 Impala Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Outstanding build, I just wouldn't be able to bring myself to cannibalize so many great models.
Dominik Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 Like it. nice colors, very clean built and perfect details on the engine. beautiful!
dino246gt Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 Wow, that is so cool, I love it, great job man!!!
Greg Myers Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 What a great period BUILD. Brings back modeling memories as well.

What makes THAT interesting is the very strong positive response this model of Dennis' has on the forum. Obviously, well-built models of hot-rod icons still have quite a broad appeal. Somehow, I thought so. I feel that if Revell were to create an accurate 1933 or 1934 3-Window kit along the same lines as their 1932 3-Window kit that it would be a huge success. What makes the '32 so good is that it is a solid middle ground that looks good built out of the box and can also be easily backdated into a traditional hot rod or into a very modern street rod. And, like the '32 kits, a whole bunch of future '33 or '34 variations would be possible. I'd pee down my leg over a good '34 Roadster kit! At this point there has yet to be a truly good '33 or '34 kit so it's easy to understand some peoples apprehension but if that were to change, so would a lot of peoples attitudes.
Pete L. Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 (edited) Fellas, I just revisited this thread and found the car at the top of this page...another beauty. Thanks for sharing !!! Thanks, Pete L. Edited October 28, 2014 by Pete L.
