Good thing the patent laws allow for miniaturization. Otherwise you might be getting a letter from his lawyers.

You've got the right people contributing to the build, that's for sure.

Hi Tim,

Steering rack is looking superb my friend !!!!!!  As I stated on my thread you are one of the builders on this site that inspire me to push myself to try an make each part the best I can, for that I thank you.

Thank you again everyone.  I wanted to see how tiny I could go and this particular piece is the smallest yet that I've done for the car. Hopefully i'll get it's twin done and the rack mounted early next week.

Looking forward to your next paint update on your Vega Chris.  You're getting oh so close man.

Joe, yeah, I saw what Andy used on his GT40 and went and bought some myself.  Never would have thought of using the stuff for that application, but it was perfect.  I always try to share credit for an idea, inspiration, KNOWLEDGE or whatever if it's not mine. It's people like Randy (among many others on this forum) that do share their knowledge that help make all of us better at what we do.

Randy, be assured I share the same sentiments when i stare at your build. Truly respect your talents and it inspires me as well. Thank you sir.

Cheers, Tim

Thanks again for checking in Dave & Art.....kind comment too Art.  Appreciated.
Patrick, thanks for peeking at the build.  I'm sure you're going to see a lot of amazing things on this forum.

Late nite pics, no bench time tomorrow, so I finished up the mock-up on the steering rack.  I still have to plate some pieces but it's pretty much done.  On to the next thing.

Cheers, tim

Hi Tim,

Just Awesome work my friend!!!!  Really like the plating you have worked into this build.  Have to give that a try.

Without offending anyone, I just want to thank those of you that have taken the time to visit and comment about the build.  I don't typically thank each and everyone that posts a comment each for obvious reasons.  But it doesn't mean the comments are taken in the way they're intended.  A giggle to Art for his "rack"  post though.  Always like a good chuckle.

Randy, the plating takes some practice, but with some trial and error, I'm sure you'll get the hang of it.  Definitely give it a try.

Cheers, tim

3mm x 5mm burst panel for the manifold. This is in addition to the waste gates that I made for the motor.  cheers

the "bolts" are .5mm micro rivets with a ball relief in the center, they come this way from the supplier.

I'm going to try to use more than four words this time.

Tim, do you use a normal microscope like the one in my first picture, or do you rent time on the one in the second picture?
