Ford guy Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Lookin' good Mustang Fred, going to be an awesome car !
freakshow12 Posted October 3, 2014 Author Posted October 3, 2014 Interior pretty much wrapped up. Pretty basic trim level. Rather than cloth seats on this one I opted for full vinyl. It was uncommon but was availible [url=http://smg.photobucket.com/user/freakshow12/media/244DE9C6-B21A-4987-A295-B1DFDEE2F276_zpsmldjb4hn.jpg.html][/pretty much box stock except flocking, cage and the modified shifter which I cut the knob off and replaced it with a white ball from another parts box one. I have a boost guage to put in but this car is supposed to be a fairly simple sleeper so not much going on inside : )
JoeBrown Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 this looks amazing! my 1:1 1980 hatch came with the vinyl interior. it was horrible! especially since it was tan vinyl.
FASTBACK340 Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 (edited) That's coming along nicely. A former co-worker had an identical car. Nice color combo! Edited October 4, 2014 by FASTBACK340
freakshow12 Posted October 6, 2014 Author Posted October 6, 2014 Little more done. Engine in for last time. May still make a harness. Tonight's project is to get rad/ hoses and tanks in it
1 bad55 stan Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Looks great Fred, that cage came out sweet too.
freakshow12 Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 Some big steps taken this evening. The body and chassis are now one! I didn't do an excessive amount to the engine bay on this one. It will fill up fast once the coolant tank and intercooler tank go in and the intake stuff goes on. Should go quickly now
Devilsnake98 Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 The fit on this very nice Fred, looks like the 5.4 dohc was supposed to be there.
cobraman Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Very nice work. Good call on the black body side trim.
freakshow12 Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 Thanks guys. Just working on the exhaust and glass. She will be pretty close soon here
microwheel Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Hi Fred, Like what you've done with this one so far. Going with a sleeper was a great idea. By the way I did start another project. I'll post on It I hope soon in a few days. By the way if you give me a call sometime tomorrow, I'll fill you in on my wife's medical issues. We are hopeful that things might be looking up a little for her.
freakshow12 Posted October 12, 2014 Author Posted October 12, 2014 Getting close now. Here are a few pics of where it's at. Few things under the hood left to do and mirrors wipers etc. I used smoke plasti dip to tint the headlights and backup lights. Not sure about the front lights. What do you guys think?
Devilsnake98 Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 All of it looks really good! I was thinking of tinting the headlights, tail lights and windows on my white mod motor lx notch. If it turns out even close to this nice, I'll be excited.
mikemopar70 Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Wow! I like your Mustang, it looks really accurate with what we see on dragstrips on friday nights!!! Congratulations...
