crazyrichard
thnx guys and randy > thnx ... coming from you thats a big compliment i love your work brass art !! one day i will go and get the right equipment abd materials and try some brass stuff myself .. maybe start of woth making a simple z chassis for a hotrod and go from there for now i'm still in my styrene > junk and make stuff from anything fase haha i got a enveloppe today with some tools , ramsfin (rich) send them to me for free . nice tools !! .. i needed more so i took a bunch out of my previous garage dio ... the ones from rich where chrome .. needed to become more silver .. the ones from my old dio where weathered (way to much also) so i put them all on double sided tape and resprayed them with my silver / chrome ... beige on the hammers and them silver heads .. the beige will get a wash later ,to imitate wood (dark oild paint wash) also made some grips red

crazyrichard
thnx guys and rich , well here you go > find your tools i mixed them up with mine thnx again !!! much much apriciated ! put in all the tools i had and man this just creates such a atmosphere .. i will also make some tools myself , powertools and maybe some extra screwdrivers .. i put it in in a more chaotic way .. like when your busy working on something you put the tool down and pick a nother up ... sometimes looking for the tool you just put down .. so i placed the tools in such a way like they where used gluing them was tricky i wanted minimal glue residue visible but it turned out nice the first toolcart , in the drawr i just radomly put ring wrenches 2 sticking out over the edge , that makes it so much more exiting on top 2 screwdrivers , pliers , hammer and airtool ... on the second cart i put a wrench on the edge in front of the detachable toolbox and on the sidetable a crewdriver hammer and pliers for me the most dramatic one and best looking i put a metal file on the vice .. in the vice is also a metal plate (clamped) it just looks like they will pick up the file any minute and start filing .. and on the left of the vice i put a bacho wrench on the bench 2 wrenches on the workbench on the mini lathe i put a key tool and pliers .. on the right on the bench a electo plier to put connectors on wire and a hammer the towel dispenser was real empty on top so i put pliers on it like somebody wiped of his hands and put his pliers there and forgot to take them with him again (lol) also weathered the parstwasher and stuff around it a bit
Ramfins59
Richard, you painted and detailed, and laid out those tools wonderfully in your diorama. What more can you possibly add to this creation of yours?
crazyrichard
thnx rich and well i'm now at the point where you could call it finished .. but every time i kind of think up new things .. that dont overcrowd it but are too cool .. i really want to make a watercooler / dispenser in the office and i have more small stuff that could be way cool .. for instance a floorjack , jackstands etc etc .. but room for big stuff has run out sadly just made a small scoop thing for the bag with oils spill pellets / dust stuff ...and glued the floor in front of the bag and put sawdust on it so it looks like spillage from the bag oh and the toolbox seen from the front , will get more tins and details on the shelfs

FullPowerGarage
Oooooohhhh such a foresty area, I want to build such theme to recreate a drive thru the woods, put my 2010 Tahoe in it. Ooh and, we had the last chance for getting to salvage the usable pieces out of the soon to be demolished schoolhalf, they're going to start breaking it down next week. crazyrichard
yes i saw it jamie .. nice and all the stuff you can find for free .. that is what makes it fun for me making something out of ..anything i made and printed a mooneyes box , just as a test for size .. for when i want to make a bunch of partsboxes .. kept this one even though it was tiny and put it on the bench this morning i was looking for something and found these clips in a drawr ... and was like whooww i can make a real 3-s shell logo from these took it apart and sawed off the bottom buldge made a sign plate from plastics primered it and painted it yellow with some enamel paint and stuck a self made shell logo on it the deeper lines in the shell are not running as low as the real shell logo but its so close i think thats not a big deal .. when the paint is really dry i want to paint the lines in the shell (deeper parts) red like the real one

crazyrichard
well i went and made red stripes on the shell ... it didnt look horible but to get them all the same and the deep ridges where not all the same ... so i got all paint and primer off and reprimed it and painted it yellow again .. on google i found shell sign like this just plain yellow no tripes and red shell letters , the letters wont work to small and the ridges wont ....and i dont have decal paper so ... but i got a cool idea and started to make a new bottom sign > SOUND YOUR HORN FOR SERVICE .. not actually ment like they need to sound the horn but more like a old gasstation sign they put on the wall in the garage as a piece of art with a small wooden stick i applied the same yellow enamel paint on the edge of the bottom sign .. 72 Charger
I hope your misses didn't need that hair grip :lol:looks cool
crazyrichard
haha you are number .....xxxxx that thinks its a hairgrip .. no its way way smaller and its tin metal ... these are small grips that originaly had small weights hanging on them.. so when you ar outside in the summer and have a table cloth on the table you clamp those on the corners so a breeze of wind wont blow the cloth off the table ... the sign is up .. looks great with the small tin signs on the cubbord ... i'm in doubt if i leave it like this or give the shell on top a mild wash for soem depth i knoced the compressor of the floor when gluing the sign on the wall .. and actually .. that looked better .. so i put the compressor next to the hoist overall shot of the garage
crazyrichard
found a extension cord housing from fujimi and yes i wanted to make everything myself but it just was the perfect base .. put cord on it , made plugs and the light lying on the floor now hangs on the pillar plugged in the extension cord .... fun shot trhough the office , coffee is hot lol
bobthehobbyguy
Looks great. Some of the shots actually look like the real thing. Keep up the good work.I'll think of too much to add it looks pretty good the way it is.
crazyrichard
thnx and well at this point i only add stuff that really contributes .. but you will actually be amazed how much you can still add to this without making it too much .. especially the real small items ... every tiny detail from now will create more atmosphere , still have a lot of emlty shelfs and ....
