Ok I have ten here have at it!

1) Don't say words your gonna regret

Don't let the fire get to your head

3) She Swept me off my feet

Made my whole world seem so complete

5) I guess I should have kept my mouth shut when I start to brag about my car

8) Girl I can't understand it, why you want to hurt me

After all of the things I've done for you

9) Put your right hand out

Give a firm handshake

I just found this thread today. What a great way to have some fun. I am pretty good at music trivia however in full disclosure I have been listening to my iTunes today on shuffle and jotted ten down for the fun of it! Range is 60s-80s Some are pretty lame, But I don't have both oars in the water anyway. jrass

8 - good one, this took me a while party all the time - Eddy Murphy/Rick James

9 - the stroke - Billy Squire

yea, it's a good time. some can really stump you. it's funny how some come to you a lot easier than others. I have the Billy Squire album but I got Murphy's song first..... have fun and keep them coming.

Welcome to your life

There's no turning back

Even while we sleep

We will find you

'78 was grim for hit singles!

In the UK that year's top 10 singles did at least include these two gems:

'In this town, Billy says, "everybody's tryin' to tell you what to do"

In this town, Billy says, "everybody says you gotta follow rules"

You walk up to the traffic lights,

Switch from your left to right

You push in that button, and that button comes alight

It tells you

"Walk, don't walk

Talk, don't talk"'

and

'Out on the wiley, windy moors

We'd roll and fall in green.

You had a temper like my jealousy:

Too hot, too greedy.

How could you leave me,

When I needed to possess you?

I hated you. I loved you, too'

Here's a somewhat eclectic set:

1. I know what she wants

Just a lick on your ice cream cone.

2. As we celebrate mediocrity

All the boys upstairs want to see

How much you'll pay for

What you used to get for free.

3. Sometime I wish that I could

Stop!

You from talkin'

When I hear the silly things that you say.

4. And she's loving him with that body, I just knowit!

5. You and me could ride on bedroom ants...

6. She said "You missed a spot over there."

7. I can hear the ringing of a beat-up old guitar.

8. Once the religious, the hunted and weary

Chasing the promise of freedom and hope

Came to this country to build a new vision

Far from the reaches of kingdom and pope.

9. I can see me bound and gagged, dragged behind the clownmobile.

10. I've come on a few years from my Hollywood highs,

The best of the last, the cleanest star they ever had.
